The Group Sales Coordinator is a position made for a fun, organized, energetic, and outgoing individual who is goal oriented and loves creating the perfect experience for our large party guests. The Group Sales Coordinator is responsible for generating and managing sales for the private dining space as well as the brand through direct and indirect sales techniques; including planning components of group dining, off-site catering and restaurant buy-outs.

In addition, the Group Sales Coordinator is a partner to the management to ensure each event is planned, contracted, and then executed according to the guest expectations and brand standards. The Group Sales Coordinator interacts closely with individuals at all levels throughout the company from Hourly Team Members to Executive Team to ensure efforts are directed toward attaining company goals. The Group Sales Coordinator reports directly to the General Manager. The Group Sales Coordinator is a professional representation of the brand and must be able to dress and act appropriately towards internal and external guests and team members to ensure a professional workplace. The Group Sales Coordinator is an Hourly Part Time position and this team member is eligible to work in other roles throughout the company. This position requires in restaurant time and will be 10-15% out of the restaurant work (answering phones, responding to emails, and completing administrative tasks) all hours must be tracked and submitted to direct supervisor to be entered into time tracking system.

Essential Duties 

  • Manage accounts to achieve guest satisfaction and to research and solicit past and new business to ensure all revenue goals are achieved then exceeded.
  • Present, negotiate, and successfully sell food, beverage and location both onsite and offsite and other special services with profitability as key
  • Capture the client’s vision and event specifics including menus, pricing, event timing, AV needs, room layout and billing information utilizing the Tripleseat and Sevenrooms sales and catering software.
  • Coach and mentor Sales Assistants.
  • Log all leads in Tripleseat
  • Network to build business by entertaining perspective clients, join organizations with networking opportunities to generate opportunities.
  • Develop relationships with key retailers to help promote rehearsal dinners, engagement parties and other significant celebrations.
  • Develop relationships with key community traffic generators including colleges, government offices, military bases and hospitals.
Business Development

  • Utilizing prospecting efforts to maximize group sales usage.
  • Ensure the follow through with the planning, and follow-up of each event as outlined in the Group Dining Sales manual.
  • Effectively communicate and partner with their General Managers; ensuring alignment with all sales tactics, event execution and market activities as they relate to restaurant sales and operations.
  • Ensure all inquiry calls and Tripleseat Leads are handled in a timely manner (within 24 hours)
  • Provide site tours as needed
  • Distribute, in a timely manner, information to the appropriate departments regarding all events
  • Greet clients at events as needed
  • Ensure timely follow-up for all functions with thank you calls, emails or letters.
  • Use Tripleseat to track repeat business and trace files to generate core business and maintain existing accounts
  • Attend and Report at weekly Manager meeting.
  • Develop relationships with hotels in the area. Distribute promotional items inclusive of menus, restaurant descriptions, etc. Track and report results.

  • Working knowledge of Basic Computer Systems - Google Workspace Experience Preferred, TripleSeat Expereience Highly preferred.

Compensation: $24,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
